We modernized and expanded our terminal in 1998 such that it now functions as an efficient terminal, which features facilities such as chilled, frozen and warm zones as well as customs and cold storage.

In June of 2002 we established our operations in the new facilities of the Mo i Rana Industrial Estate and are able to provide product storage services for entire region here.

The terminal is well suited for servicing road, sea and container-based traffic and features a custom loading dock. It is equipped with pallet jacks, forklifts and a reach-stacker. Adjacent quay and road terminal – with a 50-ton crane at the terminal – all in close proximity to the rail terminal.

The Toranes terminal has an indoors area measuring 2,100 sq. m., and an outdoor area of 1,600 sq. m. The product warehouse features a total indoor area of 1500 sq. m. We also provide storage space in containers.

The Meyership terminal is situated at one of the city’s four dock facilities - Toraneskaia. The Rana Port Authority is also located here, as well as the Mo Harbort Pilot Station. The three other nearby dock facilities consist of shipping facility for iron ore, and bulk and industrial terminals due to the role of Mo i Rana as the industrial hub for the northern half of Norway. The processing of goods via the port at Mo i Rana comprises over 3 M tons annually.

Mo i Rana is the Northern region’s third largest city with a population of 25,000 inhabitants. The city has twice been recognized (1994 and 1996) as the No. 2 most preferred municipality by commerce, not the least of which because flexibility and ease of adaptability have become a trademark for Mo i Rana over the last ten years. The city’s diverse commerce ranges from ore mining and process industries to a major IT presence. State institutions such as the National Library and the State Bureau of Collections add to the variety and breadth among the employment base
